Privacy Policy
GDPR, App Store, and Google Play Compliant
1. Scope
This policy applies to all mobile applications published by Lebene, including Breathing in Labour, TinyParty, ShowDown, and Moody. Our apps do not require an account. ShowDown does, however, provide optional online challenges and global rankings as described below.
2. What Stays on Your Device
Except for the ShowDown online-feature data described in section 4, the content you create in our apps is stored locally on your device and is not transmitted to us. This includes:
- Mood check-ins, their intensity, and any notes you write
- Journal progress and any text you enter
- Exercise and practice history
- Reminder schedules, language, theme, and other settings
3. Usage Analytics We Do Collect
Released builds send pseudonymous feature-usage events to Google Firebase Analytics so we can understand which features are used and improve them. These events can include an app-instance or device identifier and approximate location derived from network information, but are not tied to an account or email address. They include:
- App opens, screen views, and time spent in the app
- Which feature was used - for example that a mood check-in was completed. We are told only that you checked in, never which emotion you selected or how strongly you felt it
- Which breathing practice or journal program was started or completed
- Settings changes, such as language or theme
- Completed and failed in-app purchases, including the product and price
4. ShowDown Online Features and Sensitive Content
If you use ShowDown online challenges or global rankings, we receive the public nickname you choose, a random per-install identifier, and the game, score, progress, timestamp, and cosmetic-signature data needed to operate those features. Nicknames and results can be visible to opponents and other ranking users. We never receive mood selections, their intensity, journal or check-in notes, contacts, photos, precise location, or payment-card details. We do not use personal data for advertising or sell it to anyone.
5. Crash Diagnostics
Where enabled, our apps send crash and error diagnostics to Sentry and/or Google Firebase Crashlytics. These reports contain technical information such as the error, device model, and operating system version. They do not contain your notes, journal entries, or check-in content.
6. Purchases
In-app purchases are processed entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play under their own terms. We never see or store your payment card, billing address, or other payment details.
7. Purposes of Processing
- Providing ShowDown online challenges and global rankings when requested
- Understanding which features are used, so we can improve them
- Diagnosing crashes and technical issues
- Measuring app performance and stability
- Protecting the apps and online services against abuse
8. Legal Basis
We process data needed to provide features you request and purchases under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. We process analytics, security, diagnostics, and service-improvement data under our legitimate interests in Article 6(1)(f). Where consent is required, you may withdraw it at any time.
9. Data Recipients
Google (Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics), Sentry, and Cloudflare process analytics, diagnostic, app-integrity, or ShowDown online-feature data on our behalf. Apple and Google process purchases. A ShowDown nickname and result are also disclosed to opponents or ranking users as part of the feature you request. These disclosures are not data sales.
10. Data Transfer
These providers may process data outside the European Economic Area. Such transfers rely on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.
11. Retention
Analytics and diagnostic data follow the retention settings of Firebase, Crashlytics, and Sentry. ShowDown challenge records expire after 30 days and are removed during backend cleanup. Monthly ranking entries may remain for historical ranking periods until they are no longer needed or you ask us to delete them. Data stored only on your device remains until you delete it or uninstall the app.
12. Children
Our apps are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
13. Your Rights
You have the right to access, rectify, delete, and restrict processing of your data, to object to processing, and to data portability, where applicable. You may also lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Because there are no accounts, include your ShowDown nickname and, if available, the relevant challenge link or installation identifier in a request so we can locate online records. We may be unable to connect pseudonymous analytics data to you.
14. Changes
We may update this policy as our apps evolve. The date below reflects the most recent revision.
